WHY TRAIN WITH CROSSFIT GRIFFIN?

Coaches work on specific technical skills to improve an athlete’s proficiency in his/her chosen sport. We complement this sport-specific training by offering services that will help develop the athlete’s overall fitness and conditioning and build upon the fundamental skills that provide an athlete with the competitive edge.

Each of our programs is custom-designed after an initial consultation with the coach/team manager, so as to help the athletes attain their maximum potential and achieve their individual goals. An appropriate training program that includes sport-specific conditioning will prepare an athlete to be competitive and greatly reduce the risk of injury.

Our programs are founded upon drills and activities to develop skills and movement patterns specific to the athletes’ chosen sport. Ultimately, we train our athletes to achieve a high level of kinesthetic awareness that will serve them well in both their sport of choice as well as life in general.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU OFFER MY ATHLETES?
Besides physical conditioning, there are several other factors that heavily influence an athlete’s overall performance. Our constantly-varied conditioning programs seek to develop the mental edge that is necessary for victory on the playing field.

Along with providing feedback, encouragement, and affirmation, our coaches make it a priority to ensure that each athlete is challenged during training according to individual ability levels, and help to develop the tenacity and drive necessary for success.

Nutrition is an important component of healthy growth and development in youth. In addition, physical activity, athletic performance and recovery from exercise are enhanced by optimal nutrition. We stress the importance of good nutritional protocols in the training of young athletes.

Proper rest and recovery make up a considerable part of what it takes to be successful in sports. Teaching athletes proper rest, optimal nutrition, effective recovery methods (like relaxation and stress management
techniques) will help them derive maximum benefit from their training sessions and optimize their potential.
